Planting the garden has been at the top of my list for basically all of May. Jaron has thrown a wrench into actually getting it done, even with baby wearing. I wanted to revamp the garden and make 4x4 beds with two foot walkways between. It's just too hard to bend over so much.
Yesterday, I was able to mark the beds and get a few of the started plants in the ground.
We knew a storm was coming tonight, so I was highly motivated to plant the rest of the garden today. What did I do with Jaron?
He started contentedly on a blanket, eventually moved into my in-laws' house for a nap with Mimi, then back outside with me (continuing the nap).
That lasted probably 45min and then we breaked for lunch. G had planned to come home from work early to assist in planting, but he called mid-afternoon with news he needed to stay at work.
I could see storm clouds in the distance and the pile of plants and seeds still waiting to get planted. Jaron wasn't content on the ground anymore...
Plan B! Backpack carrier!
We didn't need it for long. The storm rolled closer and closer. It was a race against time... G got home as the first drops fell. I had gotten all the prepped beds planted and just needed to plant the brussel sprouts, lovage, and vining plants.
We worked together and got the first two checked off. Unfortunately, the storm hit before we could get to the vining plants. Those will have to wait.
