Soggy

Here I was, proud of myself for getting all of my gardening tools and seeds undercover in the garage before it rained on them. Later, I discovered that I had set a bunch of things directly underneath the leak in the roof. 🤦‍♀️

Most of the things can dry without much consequence. However, Jaron's outside quilt got soaked and bled color onto his other blanket. The worst was the basket of herbs I didn't get a chance to plant. They were in a basket with a plastic liner, which caught the water that leaked through the roof. All of the seed packets were completely soaked.

At first, I was going to toss them in between the trees in the orchard. Then I had a better idea. I've been wanting to plant herbs in the pasture for the goats to self medicate; I opened all the seed packets and flicked wet seeds into areas of the pasture that looked a little thin. Chives, dill, hyssop, parsley, and oregano.

Hopefully at least some of the seeds will germinate and grow. And hopefully the goats won't chew them to the ground before they get established enough to continue growing!
