Longest Test EVER

Back to Iowa tests today... we only did one since our class movie party was also on the schedule... written expression, a test that takes 40 minutes.  Mr. E said some of my kids were complaining about how long the test was in math class... that it was the longest test and it took forever.  The funny thing is, all but one of them finished with about ten minutes to spare.

After the test, we watched Big Hero Six.  About half the class had seen it before, but they still enjoyed watching it.  I used the time to correct spelling (It took me a long time! I kept getting distracted by the movie!).

We went over to church to set up for bells since we play on Sunday.  Our songs actually sound pretty good!  Now hopefully everyone shows up!

Our staff meeting went pretty well today.  Mrs. E is sick with strep throat, so she wasn't there.  We still came up with a list of songs for our teacher talent show act... we're dancing/acting out clips of certain songs, kind of like a dance.

Our list of songs is as follows:
  • The Hey Song (while we "stretch" and "limber up")
  • Let's Get Ready to Rumble
  • The Itsy-bitsy Spider
  • The Chicken Dance
  • Let It Go- Frozen
  • Batman Theme Song (back by popular demand)
  • Fancy- Iggy Azalea
  • What Does the Fox Say? (annoying, but the kids love it)
  • Eye of the Tiger
  • Shake it Off- Taylor Swift
  • Ghostbusters
  • All I Do Is Win- DJ Khaled
  • Turn Down For What- DJ Snake
  • Cotton-eyed Joe
  • Boots Made For Walkin'
  • Pop-See-Ko- by Koo Koo Kangaroo (actually a brain break... but it will get the kids involved and dancing around)
So now I just need to get all these songs and compile them!  We start practice in two weeks.
