Best part of the day: matching up my kids with their pen pals. My partner teacher Mrs. S wrote me with her list of student names. I thought about randomly pairing them, but decided to send her my class list with a little blurb of interests to help with the matching.
She wrote back later today with the pairs and I almost cried they were so good. Dancer with dancer, baker with baker (who also has two younger siblings), reader who doesn't know tiktok and a tiktock lover who doesn't love reading got matched with my tiktok-loving reader. Musician with musician. Gamer with Gamer. And two kids got paired with my die-hard farm boy because they'll ask him a ton of questions. So good. Thank you Lord!
