Viktor's Quest

Not a huge academic day for 5-6th. We had religion, read-aloud, met with spelling groups, then had math this morning up until lunchtime. The 7-8th graders took a science test on the body systems.

After lunch grades K-6 took a bus to Nicollet for an anti-bullying program put on by the Minnesota Vikings. It was AWESOME! One of the cheerleaders presented along with Viktor, the Viking's mascot. They had a screen with video clips of players/announcers/other cheerleaders 'calling in' to teach the kids what bullying is, the types of bullying they may face, the types of people involved in a bullying situation (bystander, bully, person being bullied, person who helps), and an acronym so they know what to do in a bullying situation. The people who designed it did a great job; I was impressed.

When we got back to school, there was just enough time for PE, and then we went home!
